Job Description

We are looking for MBA student interns who are looking to make an impact where it really matters. Day-to-day, you will help us generate new revenues by sealing partnerships with Medium to big size insurers and insurance brokers in SSA.

Your typical role as a Business Development Manager involves:

  • Win a minimum of 40%+ of deals sourced by inbound & outbound sales development as well as build a pipeline of new sales opportunities using self-generated prospecting techniques
  • Win mainly net new Insurance business revenue within Enterprise accounts
  • Develop, implement, and maintain sales activities and plans to create and maintain the Curacel sales pipeline
  • Build out a strategic territory plan and then individual account plans to prospect, and build a 5X pipeline while managing sales cycles from start to finish
  • Facilitate in-depth discovery calls, perform live products demonstrations and conduct pricing discussions of the software and services Curacel offers
  • Effectively deliver high forecast accuracy and pipeline management
  • Develop, implement and maintain sales activities and plans to create and maintain the Curacel sales pipeline
  • Analyse and utilise data for in-depth evaluation of accounts to recognize revenue opportunities, expansion opportunities and drive sales
  • Effectively use CRM tools and sales management softwares to manage the entire sales process

Preferred Experience

  • You are currently enrolled in an MBA Programme with a background in sales, business development or partnerships
  • You have B2B sales experience, selling to FSI’s in multiple countries in SSA
  • You have a proven track record of closing deals worth over $500k in annual contract value You have excellent dexterity in excel and powerpoint, and have experience working with CRMs (e.g. HubSpot) and other sales software
  • You know how to figure things out, and not rely on things (especially leads) being handed to you on a silver platter. You can source and close a sales pipeline yourself, through a variety of means You have proven ability to operate effectively in cross-functional settings or with stakeholders across different departments
  • You have a can-do mentality with a passion to make impact
  • You are willing to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • You have business proficiency in French (this is a plus)
